ESTU Farewells the 100th Anniversary Graduates of the Republic

Eskişehir Technical University 2022-2023 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held on Sunday, June 11 with great enthusiasm. The ceremony held at ESTU Stadium was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan ÖZCAN, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Dear Onur KAYA, Prof. Dr. Yunus ÖZDEMİR, ESTU Senate Members, lecturers, students and their families attended.

Within the scope of the ceremony, after the graduation rice was served to the graduate students and their families at 17.00, Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan ÖZCAN and faculty members presented a wreath and held a moment of silence at the Atatürk Monument. After the wreath presentation and a moment of silence, a cortege march was held to the ceremony area.

During the cortege walk, the graduates of the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences and the Vocational School of Transportation Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program said, “The future is in the skies. Addressing the families participating in the ceremony, ÖZCAN reminded that the 2022-2023 Graduation Ceremony coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Republic and said, “You have been striving for years with the dream of your children living in a better world. It is impossible to measure the value of the sacrifices you make. We are aware of the responsibilities that these sacrifices impose on us and we are doing our best to protect your trusts. We are working to make your dreams come true by mobilizing all our means.” said.

Emphasizing that the students who graduated from Eskişehir Technical University are much more equipped and far beyond their peers, ÖZCAN said that ESTU graduates should acquire the professional knowledge and skills that will enable them to be preferred on a global scale, respect life and the world they live in, have a high awareness, adhere to moral and ethical values and He also underlined that they prioritize the ability to grow up as individuals who protect their national values.

ORHAN: “We can overcome any obstacle by keeping our faith in ourselves”

Speaking on behalf of the students, Omer Faruk ORHAN, a graduate of the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, who is the top winner of Eskişehir Technical University, stated that they have overcome many difficulties throughout their university life, and said, “We sometimes wanted to give up when we were talking about courses, exams, projects, but we continued on our way with determination. The challenges we faced in this process have made us stronger̈, more resilient and more confident. Remember, the road to success is often a tough and thorny one, but by not giving up and keeping our faith in ourselves, we can overcome any obstacle.” said.

Emphasizing that they should not forget Atatürk's statement "My greatest work is the Turkish youth", ORHAN said, "This statement emphasizes that the youth are the future of our country and that our responsibility is great.
